Take Immediate Legal Action Against the Makers, Cast, and Certifying Bodies of the Song "Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke"
Problem
Demand for comprehensive legal prosecution, permanent blacklisting, and systemic accountability regarding the highly obscene and vulgar song "Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke". We, the citizens of India, write this petition to demand stringent, non-negotiable legal action against all active entities responsible for the conceptualisation, execution, and public exhibition of the song "Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke" from the film KD: The Devil. While we acknowledge the swift preliminary steps taken by the Union Government and the National Commission for Women (NCW) to ban and issue legal summons over the track, a temporary digital takedown is insufficient to deter the recurring wave of obscene and misogynistic commercial media in our society. The song’s highly explicit, double-meaning lyrics (such as "Pehle uthale, andar wo daale...") combined with highly suggestive and degrading choreography cross the boundaries of creative liberty. It constitutes a direct assault on the dignity of women and poses a severe threat to minors who access digital streaming networks. Our Explicit Demands:Criminal Prosecution of the Creators and Participants:We demand rigorous and complete investigation under Sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) pertaining to public obscenity and the denigration of women, alongside sections of the Information Technology Act and the POCSO Act, 2012 due to the content’s unrestricted accessibility to children online. This must extend to the actors, producers, director, and the lyricist.Accountability and Overhaul of the Censor Board (CBFC):An internal inquiry must be launched into the regional and central offices of the Central Board of Film Certification. The statutory body must answer how such flagrantly crude content was permitted a clearance certificate for public consumption in any format or language.Permanent Removal from All Media Servers:While the Hindi version faced digital restriction, regional language variants and user-generated copies continue to proliferate online. The government must order a strict internet-wide digital sweep to scrub all visual and audio footprints of this track across international and domestic streaming sites.Implementation of Strict Industry Pre-Screening Guidelines:We urge the NCW and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to mandate stricter creative boundaries for promotional music videos released on digital platforms, ensuring zero tolerance for content that objectifies women or utilizes explicit double-entendres.Objectifying women and commercializing hyper-sexualized content under the guise of "entertainment" must face severe legal consequences. We urge the competent authorities to make an example out of this case to ensure that future media productions respect Indian constitutional values and public decency.

While we appreciate and recognize the proactive steps already initiated by the Union Government and the National Commission for Women (NCW) regarding this track, a temporary or language-specific digital restriction is insufficient. The song—featuring explicit double-meaning lyrics and highly objectifying choreography—blatantly violates multiple sections of the Indian legal framework. We strongly urge your respective offices to work in tandem to enforce the following strict actions: 1. Filing of Criminal Cases (FIR): Direct law enforcement agencies to file formal criminal charges against the producers (KVN Productions), director, lyricist (Raqueeb Alam), and the lead actors performing in the video. The investigation should proceed under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for public obscenity and outraging the modesty of women, alongside provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 due to the content’s unrestricted digital availability to minors. 2. CBFC Internal Inquiry: We demand an immediate internal audit within the Central Board of Film Certification to identify how promotional materials containing such crude, hyper-sexualized language passed censorship clearance for public distribution. 3. Comprehensive Digital Sweep: Order a nationwide internet-wide takedown notice to all major streaming platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, etc.) to scrub not only the official Hindi version but all regional language dubs, promotional reels, and user-generated copies of this specific track. 4. Establishing Stricter Pre-Screening Protocols: We request the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to collaborate with the NCW to establish rigorous guidelines for promotional music videos released directly on OTT and social media platforms, ensuring content that objectifies women is strictly penalised before public broadcast. Commercial entertainment must not be allowed to thrive at the cost of societal ethics and the dignity of women. We look forward to your exemplary and swift legal intervention in this matter to set a strict precedent for the Indian media industry. Yours sincerely,
